Hello, my name is Alan, and I would like to welcome you to the Windypics 'Heritage' Gallery.
There are lots of really interesting buildings and vehicles around, and many of these don't really fit into any of my other galleries, so I have decided to include them here in this 'heritage' gallery instead.
This will cover such things as local events, and local buildings of various kinds, such as pubs and churches, many of which are disappearing at an alarming rate, or some of the remaining bits of our industrial heritage, much of which can still be found here in various parts of the north-west of England, which was one of the homes of the Industrial Revolution.
I am also interested in photographing many other modes of transport, as well as many other subjects, so do pay a visit to my Railway, Bus, Aviation, Maritime, Tram & LRT, Outside Broadcast Unit, Emergency Vehicle (Police, Fire, Ambulance etc.), and Construction (Wind Farms, Building sites, major Civil Engineering Projects etc.) Galleries if you are also interested in any of these subjects.
